hey! I'm still learning this program (posted here a while ago) and Im running into another UV mapping roadblock.. Im creating a dress (below) but Im a bit confused as to how i should be Mapping it over the nude (lingerie) mesh without overlapping.
Here's how it looks once i combine the nude mesh with the MD mesh and deleted the faces. not sure where to go from here.. any tips?

there is a uv template here you can follow. Thanks for that! But it looks like it's for a female child only.. And I'm still confused as to how I layer the dress on top of the nude mesh?

the layout is still the same whether it's for toddler, child, or adult. where ea puts their uvs are still in those respective places. and there isn't a way you can layer it on the nude mesh without interference. you'll need to put it on the lower right side of the uv map, as shown in the image i linked.

Aah okay, that makes more sense! Should I keep it in the purple/blue section of the lower right, or does it matter in the end? Thanks for your help 😊

it doesn't matter, just as long as you know it won't interfere with ea's meshes.

you need to install blender 2.77+ for the data transfer to show. you can install it as a .zip so you can switch between blender versions.

you can select a vertice on the uv map and then do ctrl+L on your keyboard to select the whole square and then you can resize it and move it to wherever you wish.
