A framed picture. I found two tutorials for extracting Sims 2 meshes here & here, which one do I use? Because I'm at the learning stage of "Don't know what I don't know" I really don't know what questions to ask other than how do I get started. Any and all help is appreciated....Thanks!

First you need to get the mesh of the object you're going to convert and of the two tuts you linked to the second is the fastest, most direct way that I know. Once you have the mesh from S2 you should create a new package of similar type in S4S. Once you get to that point you can follow the tutorial.

I've changed the cut numbers and the shadow LOD 0 looks right like in the tut, but it's still got that weird bit on the back of the sofa >.<

Have a problem, but it is not with this tutorial. My problem is getting the right TS2 mesh and hopefully someone can help. Using this tutorial to extract the Sims 2 mesh, went through this tutorial and instsead of getting this: I got this: I believe this is the Sims 2 game mesh (converted to Sims 4) used to make the mesh above. Can someone tell me where I went wrong?

I have successfully exported my cloned mesh and opened it in blender. However, I am not seeing any S4S tools in Object Mode. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

first i want to say big thanks for y'all who dedicated themselves for making the Most Powerful Tools for modding TS4, on my opinion this tools is far far better than TSRW, so simple as hell, bro. can't say thanks enough for y'all. anyway, i have a question. i have trying to create a chair mesh and i have edit the rig too to make the sitting style on my chair look like what i desire to. but it seems doesn't change at all, still has the default sitting style. is there any way to edit them for it? or we just can't. and i'm a bit confused about (15)deleting the uv map, are we really have to do that? i'm not joined my meshes to EA's meshes, just swapping em, but when i delete the uvmap from the list (following the tutor), my meshes map is gone, so i have to re-map em again. but if i don't delete that from the list, it's fine, no problem at all when importing the meshes/new textures n looks good on my game. thanks before n keep your good work!!

Hi kitkat, you need to make sure the right little icon is selected and then use the side scroll bar to scroll downward until you see the S4S tools.

Hi mrmayhem, I'm not sure what you mean by sit style, could you show a picture of what you mean and explain how you changed the rig that ended up not working how you want? Step 15 is just a last check to be sure the correct UV map is in place with no extra EA maps hanging around to mess things up. Some people prefer to join the meshes and those people will end up with EA's UV map there and they will need to delete it. This tutorial swaps the meshes rather than joining them and if you use this method you shouldn't have any extra EA UV maps left so you can skip any UV map deletion step

Hi msteaqueen, I'm confused by the question. The pictures you're showing are of images not meshes. Were you able to obtain the actual mesh and are now getting the wrong image? Also, I apologize for taking so long to answer...today's update of Studio was taking up all my Sim time.
