Hi devago, welcome to Studio forums. EA's painting shadow is the plane that shows up behind the painting mesh when you first export the .blend. Can you show a picture of the problem you're having or upload your .package?

Hi. I'm trying to follow the tutorial but when I select the object to clone and press 'next' anything happens. Is there something I'm missing or should I try to install Sims 4 Studio again?

Hi lumosnox92, welcome to Studio forums. Which version of Studio are you using? When you click Next does Studio close or does it just spin until you manually close it?

Hi! Thank you for answering. I'm using the latest version (2.7.0.7). After I click Next a message appears saying 'cloning object...'. It spins for a couple of seconds, then it disappears and nothing else happens.

Hi lumosnox92, can you check in your Windows Event Viewer for any Studio-related error messages? Something is happening on your computer that is making Studio unable to complete the cloning process. I can't tell what that is without an error message.

In step 15 it says "Then click b on your keyboard to bring up the box select lines " When I click b nothing happens, what am I doing wrong? Is there a new hotkey or can you give me the menu selections to use. Thanks

Hi panthergirlsim, I'm not sure why the box select feature won't work for you. Can you send me your .blend so I can see if some settings got set wrong?

Hi! Okay, so I'm stuck on step 15. "Hold down your left mouse button and drag the lines so they surround the two visible vertices on the left side of the box mesh" - verticles on the left side of the box? Do you mean like this: (English isn't my first language btw) Also, about step 16: "With your cursor still in the 3D viewport, hold down the scroll wheel on your mouse and slide it a little to the right. This will turn the mesh toward you" - the wheel on my mouse can only slide back and forth, not to the left or right. Is there another way to do this?

Hi emberfly, I cannot see the picture you posted for the question about step 15. About step 16, you move the mouse a little to the right, not the mouse wheel.

Hi all,
I'm "attempting" to make my first mesh object, but I'm having problems exporting the .blend file from S4S. I am receiving an error message. I don't know if I needed to or not, but I followed another tutorial regarding an ADD-ON in blender (the io_s3py_animation zip file). I was hoping this was the problem and that it would be magically fixed when I tried to export it after I enabled the ADD-ON, but unfortunately, that didn't help.
It's probably something ridiculously simple that I haven't done, but since I'm clueless .... I need help, please!
Here's what the error message pop-up says:
The Sims 4 Studio - Version 3.0.1.1 System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> S4Studio.Blender.BlenderException: File "<string>", line 1, in <module> File "<string>", line 34, in <module> File "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.70\scripts\addons\s4studio\buybuild\blender.py", line 179, in load_lod mesh.data.s4studio.cut = str(mesh_index) AttributeError: 'Mesh' object has no attribute 's4studio'

Any ideas or help is most appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi chicklet45368, it's great to hear you're interested in Sims 4 meshing The io_s3py_animation zip file is an addon Andrew and I made for Sims 3 posing, and you do not need that for Sims 4. The error message you're receiving seems like a message some people have reported when Blender has not installed the Sims 4 Studio mesh import/export addon correctly. Can you check to be sure you have the addon and that it is installed? To do that click File in the upper left corner and select User Preferences: When the popup box appears, type the word "sims" into the box as shown below. Make sure the Import-Export: Sims 4 Studio Blender Tools addon is there and has a check in the box: If this doesn't fix the issue, please post again.

Thank you soooo much, OM! I just opened blender and it was not enabled. Then I exported my mesh without any problems! Now, on to reading and learning!
