I suggest opening the original package file and just adding a swatch. If you do that you won't be able to share the cc item since it will conflict with anyone having the original hair already. You shouldn't ever do this if you want to share anything created by someone else and it's not the proper way to recolor cc. There's one tutorial about it for cas and for objects . Basically you need to put the package to clone in the mods folders located in the game folder and in the s4s folder. Then clone as you would with an EA item. I dunno,I recolor like this and there haven't been any....negative effects till now.
Not gonna discuss the sharing stuff.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you be more specific on the problem you're dealing with? I just opened the .package you posted here and I see the textures of the plate working just fine. I don't see it like the first picture. Althought the textures are completely diferent from those. I see this Pssst,do you think it might be the texture?Look at it in Studio, then look at it in the screenshot.

I think he's referring to the shiny texture over it. It's supposed to be matte right? You can check about the specular here. (o.O how do you know my biological gerdeR????)
But yes,thank you.All fixed now.
I reffered to it as shadow and not texture (since it wasn't part of the texture I imported)...Welp sorry and thank you.All fixed now

Hi! That shadow is caused by the "shadow plane" EA uses in all objects. It is part of the mesh itself and has it's own group in Blender. You can remove it by hiding the plane into the mesh. You can read it more HERE (After Step 17) and also HERE. I hope I didn't get it wrong. There were two layers and I hid the one I think is the shadow...that thing is still there.

Is the plate supposed to be decorative?

(IMGUR AGAIN refuses to cooperate...I'm done -_- )
The first picture is how the obect appears in game. The second one is in studio.
I dunno what that shadow in the first picture wants but I want it gone.I imported the mesh on top of another mesh, and well, that's where the shadow comes from. How do I remove it?

Well I converted a toddler hair a while ago and I did this.
Open S4Studio. Go to CAS-Create a 3d mesh. Choose the child hair you want to convert. Optional:If you're gonna use the texture then I suggest selecting all swatches (Shift then click on all hair colors) Optional:Export the texture. Go to Meshes, then Export the mesh.
Go back to Studio main screen. Choose CAS-create a 3d mesh again. Choose an adult hair. Export the mesh.
Open both meshes in blender. Copy the child hair mesh (B to select then Ctrl+c to copy) Go to the adult mesh and paste (Ctrl+V) Delete the adult hair mesh. Move the child hair mesh (G to move) Resize it till it fits the head. (I dunno if I'm right but I ususally set the GEOM to 0000 here.)(Scroll down to where it says S4Studio Cas tools)
Open Studio again. I usually go for 3D mesh again. Import mesh. Make sure to import it for all LODs or if you zoom out in game it will look weird. Import textures. Choose if you want to allow it for the opposite gender/for random (this means random townies can spawn with it)/ect. Save the package and then test it.

Hi! This section of the forum is for helping on steps and teaching about the best ways to fix your item. If you're asking someone else to work on your mesh instead, i can move this to the request section. I'd like someone to fix it so I can try to texture it,I dunno if anyone would texture it for me.But can you move it?Been trying for hours and I'm tired.

Ok, I'm not sure if I can help without the other mesh sections (there is only one mesh piece in your blender file, most hairs at least 3). I also noticed that your pink texture is pushing outside of the hair bounds, which is why the studio model has pink eyes. The brown square is all of the area the game will read for hair (I just pasted an EA hair texture in for reference). Other than that I'm not sure how to help, I'm sorry :(. I put the texture there so the mesh wont look all wonky in Studio,I just threw it there till I fix the mesh,so I know about this.Cal I post on the forums for help?
EDIT: It is one piece, the mesh I mean.I didn't need the hat cuts.
