Evekat, if you send me your mesh I might be able to fiddle with it to see what I get in 3ds. 😁😁😁

that's weird, 've never had this issue. I think you might try making a new package and importing everything there. In the meantime I'll take a look at it. Also, which version of s4s are you using?

I think your normals are flipped. Sometimes 3ds does a thing where it flips normals.
Edit: sorry it took me so long to get back to you, Ive been offline for like a month.

I would have also said reduce the polycount. With it that high it could crash someones game, and we dont want that. There arent really any other suggestions I can make until I see the package myself.

Wow! Looks like quite a mess you have there! lol, lets see what we can do. I need you to either post, or send me your package, so i can take a look at it. EDIT: If your issue is what think it is, you might be able to fix the problem by following my tutorial once your mesh is completed. The link is in my signature, its the one that says Fixing transparencies with hair.

Right that is exactly what I mean. But also you said that you did remove doubles, but somehow you didnt, because I had to do it again. But then even after I did that, and moved some vertices around the problem is still somewhat visible. Im thinking that because this part of the mesh wasnt visible before, Whoever made it just let the headband cover that up. Maybe theres a way to fix it by welding some more vertices in that area, so that the edges we see now are no longer causing an issue.

Hey Renora! Im the resident hair expert here! lmao. Downloading your blend, lets see if we can fix it! EDIT: Looks like I might have found the issue, there are a few vertices that are out of place, they are just a bit too deep, Im going to move them outward and see if that fixes it.

you need to either:
A. delete the body underneath the clothing. or B. use sculpt mode to make the clothing fit around the body mesh.

wow! I made a new hair mesh, and this absolutely worked! the tutorial for adding geoms was easy to follow, even though i did it with cas instead of an object. There's just one thing I like to add about duplicating simskin shaded planes: make sure to delete the edges, otherwise they will show ingame, because they wont be transparent. so if you have the one geom with sim-glass shading the alpha on the sides of the hair plane will wordk properly, but then when duplicated as a sim-skin shaded geom, it will do exactly that, show as simskin. Per Example. Here is my hair mesh, you see the transparency on the sides of the planes, just delete a row of polygons on each side. Like this, delete those, and its perfect.

lmao fey, and wow that looks like a doozy!
Has this been solved yet?
Im going to look at it but i cant promise success, with ts4 the alpha hairs are very tricky, and sometimes it is completely dependent on the way the mesh is created. But sometimes, we can break it down, and build it back up. I can tell you one thing so far, in the first picture, it just looks like that part needs to be remapped. that part is simple, you can use blenders UV editor. to select a particular element (group), hold L in edit mode and hover over it, then you can edit.
I'm downloading it to see if i can fix your glass issue. Will get back to you soon, but in the meantime, have you seen my tutorial? There is a link in my signature. Fixing transparency issues with alpha/glass hair.
