I have not taken a look at the mesh since am not close to my lap top. Bit I can guess you have a last of the mesh that is meant to be with the open lid still left on the key board part of the laptop. Those part of the mesh needs to go with the open lid. I may be wrong but will take a look when am close to my laptop

For this particular fireplace, I believe the unlit and lit action, is located in the same image file unlike other fireplaces that have a separate image for the lit state.
That second image references all the area where the firewood logs are placed. In the base object that you cloned, you will see that this second image, comprises of all that enclosure where the fire logwoods are. Presently, from your own mesh, you have used the blue image over where the wood log is. What you have to do is determine the part if your mesh that makes up that open place where the logs are(top, bottom, left, right and front,as well as the logs). Once you have determined these mesh part, locate then in your uv map. That's the part you need to work on and create the diffuse image that will affect the lit and unlit image.

Hi everyone! This is my first attempt to create something ever and I'm stuck.. I edited one table a little bit and when I import it in S4S only the shape of the table is changed but tablecloth I added and a decoration on the side does not. What I do wrong? Thank You! First thing that comes to mind is, you'd you assign correct cut numbers to the object groups. The table cloth and the decoration needs be added with a group that has a correct cut number assigned. If you don't know what the cut number is, please read this. It gives an explanation of the cut number and how it's done.

Thank you, annabluu. I tried using a 2D editor, but, the results weren't very good because I could never make the new texture overlap the replaced one completely. When the color palette option came out and creators were raving about how easy it was to use because you simply import new colors, I followed this tutorial hoping for success: sims4studio.com/thread/12761/use-studios-color-palette-feature . That's why I thought it would work if I added color tags. Goodday dear, please try reading this tutorial. It will give you a good understanding of how to recolor a hair

One thing I feel about all this is that Ea has list it's creativity with regards to the Sims game. I feel they should bring in New ideas into the game and listen to the fans. But I believe they ate numb to fans ideas. For me am really tired of their non chalant attitude to the game. So will it ever end, that I don't know but I hope they change their attitudes and inculcate fans ideas into the game least they become a bygone entity

From the image you posted, you can see that images appear upside-down in the mirror like you pointed out. Sometimes, you have to study the ways the Sims creators map their objects like in example the TV screen and the Mirror surface. Below is your mirror which I remapped the mirror surface As you can see the mirror reflection is OK. So what you have to do is open your object in your meshing program blender, select the mirror mesh uv map alone (not the frame uv map) and flip it vertically so that the concave end of the mirror(the bottom) is at the top rather than below as you have it in your uv

The display unit is lovely. With regards to the glass, it will be nice if you add a knob or handle to it. Also is it possible to make it sit perfectly of a 3tile footprint. Hey i took your advice on the door handle and added that, as for the footprint, i am using a 4x1 footprint for it. Sorry my mistake. I meant to say if you can make it fit perfectly into a 4tile footprint so that when placed side by side, it will fit well together without a space between. That's my own personal opinion.

Can you use and image hosting site like imgur for the image tag. Putting an image for download is not good as for me. For the mesh it's OK but not the image.

EsEmNL am just seeing this and I think you are doing a wonderful job here. I like the ideas within the contents. As a side note, I think I prefer the first version of the bed to the second version. That horizontal wood slab you removed gave the bed an exquisite design when mixed with the triangular slab. Taking it out made the second version just too plain in my own opinion. You can edit the horizontal wood slab to go in a bit on the first version an it looks weird with the poking out. But taking it off, takes away the beauty of the bed. The last picture you posted, what's the reference there. Is it the door or the shelf system
