You have found some of the CC wings that already exist, right? (See some links to different creators' CC at: sims4downloads.net/tag/wings/ ) I was guessing that the ones you've found aren't quite what you were looking for.

Can you use the newest version of Blender to do this? My impression is that you can only use Blender 2.70 for this. You can have more than one version of Blender on your computer at the same time, though. :-)

Sorry for spamming tonight :-P A small edit of the christmas cracker that came with the latest patch (the left one on the picture is the original, the right one is my edit). It will not replace the original, both of them are functional (it has a chance of giving your sim a gift when used) and found in the same place in the catalogue, or search "christmas cracker". Same polycount as the original. Requires the patch, obviously. Let me know if there are problems.
(After googling, I found out that English crackers really look like that...! Swedish ones look different.) #christmas #cracker #edit #maxis #holiday #seasonal

Full-height thin wall mirror that wall decorations can go on top of (using moveobjects). I'm sure something like this already exists out there on the web, but here's my version :-P Based on the request in the thread: sims4studio.com/thread/6886/req-wall-mirror-texture They tile "seamlessly", except for when you zoom out and the placeholder mirror texture shows up (referenced from the original object). Let me know if there are any problems, as always. Catalogue should be in mirror category and called something like "thin full wall mirror". #mirror #wall

A request for wanderlust-sims on Tumblr. Low-poly-ish. Should be in decoration/misc category or just search the name. Should be basegame compatible as usual, let me know if there are any problems.

Upload your package somewhere and link it here and someone can have a look at it, or I will if you catch me before bed time :D Thanks, took a long while because I was finishing up various stuff, lol. But here it is: simfileshare.net/download/143957/I tested it again in game a little while ago and it turns out you can actually place items in some of the slots I thought weren't working, however, you have to place them "from the outside of the building". I suppose the problem has to do with the slot spaces going outside of the room boundaries or something like that..... :-S Maybe it's not fixable.

That would be an immense and possibly partially impossible modding job, but maybe someone out there is interested in taking it on! However I thought I would ask if you could break down your request a little bit. If you want new meshes or recolours, some of us may be able to help out, disregarding the whole genetics thing. For example, maybe someone could take on making wings for you and someone else could take on making a werewolf skin. Can you specify what sort of "parts" you need for your different occult species, and maybe provide some descriptions, links, or pictures for reference? :-)

I'm not trying to be judgemental and I do appreciate all these tutorials. I am an absolute beginner to this and I have read all of them before anyone slams me. I understand a lot of explanation may be lost in translation. But a lot of the tutorials are very confusing and missing information pertinent to the step. For example here...you write... "For this tutorial I used the base game face paint as the example. Clone your item and click into the Warehouse. Select the RLE 2 Image line. Click the Add button:" Ok, 1. For starters, what fill in am I choosing before I press CAS, There's 4 choices since im using 3.0.0.3 Harmony. This is very confusing. 2. How does one "clone" an item...from other tutorials I've seen this looks like an inside CC term, PLEASE CLARIFY. Because when I go into warehouse there is only "CAS part". There is no RLE 2 image. I think I've got a good grasp on recoloring...and basic 2D adjustments. I want to start messing with more advanced techniques. There's another tutorial where A person asks how you remove the grey underwear or bra strings from showing up in game, which you respond (s.i.c) "It must be overridden." PLEASE ELOBORATE on how one does that. This is very confusing and frustrating. Thank you though for all your work. I will continue to keep reading tutorials and watching videos until someone gets back to me. :D Take it easy, 99% of people here are not looking to "slam" people who need help. :-) And if someone would be rude to you, you'd have done nothing wrong for asking questions and have nothing to worry about. - "Create CAS Standalone" means to create a standalone recolour of an existing mesh, as far as I know. (This shows up as a "new object" in the catalogue, instead of a swatch, which shows up as a recolour option.) - "Create 3D Mesh" means to clone an object in a way that lets you replace its mesh with a new one (and change everything else too). - "Add CAS Part Swatch" assumably means to add a swatch (recolour option) to an existing item, rather than a standalone recolour (which would show up in the catalogue as a new item). - "Override" would mean you want to replace an existing object with something else. Maybe you don't like how an object looks. Clone means that you make a copy of an item (package). Normally you do this because you want to replace things and create a new package. I can't help with the warehouse parts, but I'm sure someone else will! Probably "overridden" refers to replacing it with a new image by using the export and import functions.

I cloned this BG window: and made some mesh edits, etc. But then I went to add slots on the inside, which is unchanged, and while I added three rows of small slots, I think only one row ended up functional in the game (items wouldn't be placed in most of the theoretical slots, whether moveobjects was turned on or not). Is there anything to do about this? :-o

Hello! Names Sugar (well not really but you get the point). I'm a 80 year old stuck in a 23 year old's body. Least that's how it feels lately. I've just recently started creating custom content last week (I'm such a baby!). So far it's just recolors but we can hope and dream that I'll be meshing with the best of them soon. So yeaaaah... HIIIII! You're 80, 23, and a baby at the same time? It must be fun inside your head :-D Welcome, and feel free to ask any questions about meshing when you're ready!

Isn't this what the "update footprint" thing does? I thought it was, but I'm unsure since I've mostly cloned stuff of the size I wanted. :-o

I had this too many times and split edge worked for most of the time I do wonder if it also has something to do with placing an object between 4 walls or outside in the sunlight? I can't say for sure, but i think it made a difference for me the other day with a couch i had made. Not sure if you objects are inside the house or just on 1 wall. Most of the problem came from me messing up the bump and specular map (inabadromance's files helped me sort it out!) but yes, I'll look into the split edges thing too. :-D I was wondering about the indoor/outdoor light thing too. Will see after more testing, I guess.

I can look into making a thin flat wall-mirror. I haven't made any mirrors yet so that should be educational :-D
