I thought they disabled that, because it's actually only for people who got problems with CS2 and needed a Backup version, so I didn't mention it. I had a link in all of my video description before, but people told me it didn't work no more, so I deleted them all. Now the most links you will find for it, won't work either. But, there's a youtube video about it too and people share another link that also go's to the official Adobe website. You will need that link instead. No, the page on Adobe still works the same for me (just checked), but yeah -- even though they plainly just disabled the serial-checking server, I guess it is intended for people who own licenses to CS2, so you're right, I probably shouldn't tell people to go get it. (I had no qualms myself because I already own PS license :-p)

Hi piratezevelyn , Adobe Photoshop is also the program I use, but it's not free. You can also use GIMP which is free to download and almost the same as Photoshop. Photoshop is a bit more extended though. There are plenty of people who could also use my tutorials when working with GIMP instead of Photoshop, so you could try that too. You can get Photoshop CS2 legally for free from Adobe actually (not for people with Mac though, due to the change from PowerPC to Intel processors after CS2's time). For anyone interested just google "photoshop cs2 free" and you should find information. :-) I use it on my dev laptop myself.

A large duffel bag since my sims needed something to pack their stuff in for the holiday trip. Decoration only, but comes with a prop version (not an accessory -- just an object that's hovering in mid-air) and a matching pose pack. The files are separate between the 3 varietes of textures pictured, the prop bag, and the pose pack, so you can choose which ones you want. Nothing is slaved. Poly-count: 350, which is high for being me, I was too sleepy to work with low-poly today... They only have one LOD mesh and will not become low-poly at a distance, since I didn't need that for my own usage. :-p Clutter section in the catalogue, and you can search “bag” or “confetti” to find it, custom thumbnails. Should be basegame compatible, let me know if there are problems, and feel free to recolour as always. Know that there are some issues with the UV-map when it comes to texturing, so plain colours are the easiest (I felt lazy today). You may re-map it for recolours if you're so inclined, regular "credit me properly" rules apply. Below shows the bag placement for the poses to work with the teleporter. Pose 1-3 are for the prop and pose 4 is for the regular bag on the floor. I may or may not update the file with more bag poses later, feel free to use the prop in your own poses, of course. To use the poses you need the pose player and the teleporter. #clutter #bag #decoration #pose #prop

If nobody else does it I can do it later (I saw your message on Tumblr :-)) But if you want to know how to do it yourself, there's two options. One would be somehow removing the "seat" flag of a stool in the warehouse section of the object in S4S (I can't help explain this since I'm not very experienced with warehouse editing, but it must be do-able). The other is to export the stool meshes and textures, clone a decorative object (statue or such), and replace the decorative object's meshes with the stool.

Okay, I didn't make up any new phrases so these are translations, but of the "localised" kind so they will seem natural. Hope you will have use of them, it sounds like a fun thing with the talking toys! As a bit of criticism I think it's better not to use the term "retarded" and better to say "stupid" (although some people also find "stupid" offensive, but it's much less so than "retarded" is, since it's directly connected to handicapped people). I used an equivalent of "stupid" in Swedish. I'm also posting mine in a spoiler since it's difficult to edit the document for me.
{Swedish translations} 1. Du är underbar! Jag älskar dig!!! 2. Det är jätteroligt att hoppa i sängen! 3. Du är min bästa vän i hela världen. 4. 22. Är du helt dum i huvudet? 23. Lämna mig i fred!!! 24. Varför är du så elak?! 25. Jag såg mamma kyssa tomten, jag! 26. Smutsiga blöjor är jätteäckliga!! 27. Dumskalle! Dumskalle!! Dumskalle!!!

I feel like some general chatter so here we go. How is everyone doing? Are you celebrating holidays or not? Going on a trip? How is the weather? Doing anything special with TS4 like decorating your sims' homes, or following / hosting CC advent calendars? No time to play TS4 because of holiday stress? Hate holidays and wish everyone would stop talking about them? Discuss a little :-D
As for me I'm doing a lot of seasonal stuff in my game and in the CC community (winter/holiday-CC download spree every other day, haha)... although I'm banging my head into my keyboard everytime I find "pretty but much too high-poly" seasonal CC on TSR. Yule is my favourite holiday so I enjoy this time of year a lot. I'm using the snow mod in my game (and making CC to add more snow... :-p), in real life the snow has been coming and going, but right now it's quite thick and pretty. I hope we're getting a seasons EP sometime next year!

I forgot to post this here after sharing it on Tumblr some days ago, here it is. De-decorated holiday fireplace, requires the free holiday patch. It's NOT slaved to the original, nor to the original BG fireplace that Maxis edited for it (I did a mesh edit and texture edit... also I just have trouble figuring out the slaving settings :-p), and is NOT a replacement, although someone on Tumblr asked me for permission to make a replacement from it, so that may be coming. (I just don't want it as a replacement myself.) Lower poly count than the original. Slots have been added, texture has been slightly edited (removed mismatching wood on top of the original), and texture has also been edited to allow mix-and-match between the original fireplace colours & runner (cloth) colours. Same functionality as original. Let me know if there are any problems and feel free to do whatever you want with it :-) #fireplace #holiday #christmas #maxis #meshedit #edit #decluttered #dedecorated

I created custom menus for custom furniture and toys for the woodworking table. Some of the toys talk and I thought players in other languages might like their toys to talk to them. The link below is to excel spreadsheet with the 27 phrases in English and columns for the other 16 languages. Fill in the lines for your language and send me the link to your additions. Does not need to be a translation, just fit the emotional response category in column B. Language SpreadsheetHave fun. Leniad I can translate but the link doesn't work.

I tried several different animations and when I exported them and opened them in blender, all I had was a blank pose with no animation. Sounds like it might be an error worth reporting in the error thread then (with details about what you tried and what happened), if you're selecting animations from the list to export and still get nothing? I don't know though, could also just be something that isn't fully implemented in the current S4S that I have no idea about :-)

So, I think I have the answer to my own question, it doesn't seem possible to actually extract an animation from the game itself. Using a hottub animation for one sim, I was able to get the correct position and posture for the start and end of a clip, so I am saving that as my default start if I decide to actually go ahead and do any hot tub animations. My goal was to make the animation transition to start without it being obvious that a custom animation was starting by having the positions line up at the start and end. It took some trial and error but while my animation is a bit goofy and silly, it does start smoothly without any sudden jerks from the previous animation and flows into the next. As for the timing, it's only a one person animation, so the time can be a custom one. The nice thing about this is that while a pose player can be nice to put in custom animations, its much nicer to have them start autonomously and as random as the other game animations. My next goal is to try and get couple animations to sync up and play smoothly. If I do both then again timing will not be an issue as long as both are the same length. I think the smooth animation transitions thing is a really neat idea, but I'm wondering what you meant about extracting animation from the game. I don't have Studio open right now but I know I exported an animation before simply from the list after click to export EA clip instead of a blank pose :-o Was that not what you were looking for?

Clown Confetti , I suppose you already figured it out, but you can check the "repeat placement" checkbox in the Object Catalog > PlacementFlagsLow section. Yup, I got it, but thanks anyway :-D I messed around with the catalogue a lot and broke many of my objects lol. Learning is fun but painful...

Pile of snow mesh to be placed on the ground to create 3D snow. Of course, recommended to use with Simcookie's snow mod alongside other snow CC. It's larger than its footprint because I felt that made it easier to use. Use the resizing key to make wide thick snow! Your sims will walk through it, it was cloned from ground-covering ivy. (If you want your sims to stand on top of the snow you can probably shift the sim teleporter in height to achieve it.) There are two separate versions out of which one is a bit flatter and one is a little bit bumpier, but you can just keep one of them if you want. Search "confetti" or "snow" in the catalogue - this time I added a custom thumbnail and put my name in the title, I've been too lazy for this until now... :-P Otherwise it's categorised under "rocks" in the build section, because it seemed like a good place. Low-poly, should be basegame compatible, let me know if there are problems. You are allowed to edit this mesh/object (and to make recolours as always). #snow #winter #landscaping #nature #landscape #christmas #yule

When creating a pose with one sim holding another what do you need to make sure that when you place it in game the pose will be correct? I'm having an issue where I'm creating a holding/carrying pose and when I put it in game, the sim holding/carrying the other works perfectly fine but the sim being carried isn't in the correct spot. Any tips? I thought people teleported the sims to stand in the same spot to do this, but I'm not sure?

Sorry for the late reply, I live in Australia and its summer and we are having a heatwave, aint been on the computer much, been trying to keep cool. But yeah you are right I would say, I had a look at in game and had to do the same thing and would of gave you the same answer. I made a deco garage door once and had the same sort of issue with the texture, different colors either side of the boundary due to the lighting. If there is a setting that can fix it its beyond my knowledge. No worries, I understand. I'm in the opposite, so cold in this house in Sweden that my fingers are freezing when I have to type on the keyboard :-P (Starting to consider hibernating in a cozy cave somewhere) It will be interesting to see if anyone manages to mod things to do with these boundary-related things eventually.

just one more thing, is it possible to change the settings so that i can place more than one without selecting it again. i hope you understand what i mean. if i place the mirror, i have to select it again to place another mirror but i would like it to stay selected on my mousecursor after placing one. i know that i could press the shift key but is there a way to change this too? Off the top of my head I don't know, but I can look into it, I have a feeling I saw someone mention they changed this for an object in a download I browsed.... (if any of you S4S "gurus" are reading this, feel free to direct me :-P) As for the windows/doors thing I don't have any ideas other than making mirrors with cut-outs (which would be kind of cool as a regular design choice really haha!) but maybe someone else with more hacking experience will figure something out eventually!
