orangemittens Out of curiosity, What happens if the Type doesn't match? I accidently set the type on my blend file to GEOM when it should have been none. Does it make a noticeable difference???

Studio doesn't use that field anymore, so if you put the wrong one in, it will not matter.

Hello! I'm new here, and I was wondering how this process differs to decor items. For example, I just want to make a simple labeled bottle. Maybe include 3d items inside down the line. I have Blender, S4S, and Photoshop CS6. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hi nyxkai, you need to put your CC .package in the Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder for it to show up as an item to clone on the thumbnail list in Studio. Putting it in your game Mods folder is not sufficient.
Hi hlootoo, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. This tutorial shows how to include a new mesh in a .package so it will show up in Sims 4. Are you asking how to make a new mesh or do you have a bottle mesh already?

This tutorial shows how to include a new mesh in a .package so it will show up in Sims 4. Are you asking how to make a new mesh or do you have a bottle mesh already? Oh I'm sorry! What I meant was, would making a new bottle mesh essentially be the same process as this picture frame? Or would there be some other things to consider? Say you took a bottle mesh from the game and replaced it with your own? I want to make some apothecary bottles with snaller meshes inside, but I'm an almost TOTAL newbie to 3D software. I'm hoping to just sculpt a mesh free hand like in Maya and just plop it in. Could that even work?

I tried to load a mesh like in step 3, but I got this instead:

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I tried to turn the toyduck into a decorative, non-playable object. I replaced the mesh of the small stack of books with that of the duck in Blender, but when I import that mesh into S4S, the mesh of the books still appears and the duckie has no texture, like this: Can anyone help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong and how I could fix it? (Also sorry in advance if this is a really dumb mistake with a really simple solution, I'm a complete newbie to this!)
