Hi, I am very very new to this. I have followed every step and i seem to be getting different results. 1) For some reason my start image when opening mesh to blend, my item (which is a painting) is under the grid? 2) i also seem to get black squiggly lines instead of a clear image of the picture i sent over from S4S? (so in the tutorial it shows the cat painting image and frame, mine is just black lines with no image) 3) i cannot bring up the checkerboard? i just get a black square and i cannot grab anything when its plain black.
i have however managed to download S$S download Blender and The paint.net so i know the instructions are all right, but for somereason im obviously missing 'Something'?
any help would be very much appreciated. ty (i cant even upload a picture of my issue as it wants a pic link and i cant add pic) Help please

When importing in S4S, it will keep the placement in blender. Maybe you inverted your view in blender? It's possible to get lost in 3D space :p I don't know your in blender, but try using the fixed views to make sure you're in the right direction (numpad 1 for front view, numpad 3 doeright view, 7 for top view, etc.) 2) You might have change the UV Map while redoing your mesh, so you'll have to import a new texture that fits your new mesh. 3) In the Image/UV viewport, you'll need to be in Edit mode in the 3D view AND have all your vertices selected to show the UVMAP. If you want the grid pattern as shown, you'll need to click on Image > New Image and select "UV Grid". For further questions, if you need to show pictures (which always help better the forum user to understand your problem) you can use free images hosting website

Is step 57 supposed to look like this? It appears that the left size panel is missing. www.dropbox.com/s/77smbuv1bl1jtrx/Untitled.png?dl=0I guess so because it worked. Thanks for doing your tutorials, Orangemittens! Sorry, I should wait before posting for help next time eta: starting over with part 1 again because my map was messed up.

I'm new to CC creating and I've run into a problem at 58. I unwrapped the UV and changed it from GLSL to multitexture, but I don't have the checkerboard image showing up on my mesh. I've moved the pieces of the UV map around and it doesn't make a difference or show up. I do get a message saying it's an non uniform scale, could that have something to do with it? I just don't understand why the checkerboard isn't showing up on the object. Any help is appreciated!

I've reached step 65 but I'm not working with a square mesh/UV like in the tutorial, so I'm rather stuck on it and how to carry on going forward. I uploaded the file to WeTransfer so you can see where I'm at link.
