Hi, OM, I did move it around in blender to see if I could get the angle right, and than manually added the values into Studio.
I got two of the positions right, more or less, but am still working on the others. I will try to get it finished within this week.
Thanks for the info on the X and Y axes, I appreciate!

I can't say whether they will pull out the chair at an angle..... I did not yet succeed in placing the chairs closer to the table. Currently still using as a stand alone chair, if you know what I mean.
Was your pic taken in blender? If so how did you get the grid so small?
And I am going to fiddle with the set again now.

Hi, here are two pics of the table so far: What I have done first was to move all the subroots from the ea table to the 0,0,0 positions. I had to do that in Blender. That made it possible to get a better angle to move the four chairs to the desired position. The chairs are able to be placed, though I had to rotate them manually. It is clear from the pics that those four chairs are still too far away from the table, but at least the eat, drink and other functions are aligned, hopefully correctly. Was not yet able to test how the sim will eat by the table....(she is not hungry yet LOL). Four placements look to be perfect, and the sim can move the chair back and forth. I am going to fiddle a bit more with those positions. Hopefully I will get it right.

Hi j, you are indeed correct, it causes headaches!
I want six chairs around my table. I also had a quick look at the table you found at Mod the Sims and made a note of the subroots.
I need to know the following:
EA has seven roots on the table I cloned. It seems like 0 and 1 is more or less on the same place. I suppose I should leave 0 and fiddle with all the others. Which was what I did, but I do not get it right yet. I would like to try again before I give up.
Another thing that I need to figure out: Z should always have a 0.000 value, since that represent the height right? X and Y confuses me a bit.... which one represent the distance from the table? So that the other would represent the distance from the next chair? Should the chair automatically rotate according to the placement, or should one manually change the direction?
How to figure out what the distance between the chairs should be is giving me a headache. For me to do a proper calculation I need the real thing! So how on earth do I figure out what the distance should be??
Thanks for the help..... back to the drawing boards for me. I will take a screenshot when I go in game again.

Thanks, MisterS, I found this explanation by Orangemittens in her tutorial: "What you will notice is, whether you clone a rectangular dining table or a small round dining table, that the slot data for the chair, food, plates and drinks is the same. The only thing that differs is the slot data for the parent. What you need to do is only alter the slot data for the subroot parent slot and leave all the other data alone. If you do things this way the animations in game should work correctly for your new table. I have not yet made a round table but when I get a chance I'll write up a quick tutorial showing how to do this but basically I've just said everything the tutorial would show I think. Read more: sims4studio.com/thread/4420/use-sims-studios-slot-editor#ixzz49ZTeHfx5" What I need to figure out is which slot is the parent and the subroot parent slot?

I am in the process of making a bigger version of the round dining table, and realized that I will have to change the rigs in order for at least six sims to dine. There are rigs on the floor as well as on the table. Do I have to move them all? Which of those are the ones directing the sims where to put there plates down? Is there a distance from the side of the table they should be in order for the sims to still be able to eat from their plates without it looking weird?

Hi, I would just like to find out whether one can recolor the base game stairs yet?

It happened to me as well, and I just checked again that my mesh and the shadow that goes with it is on the same height as the ea one. When I imported my mesh again, it was perfect. Hope it helps.

HI, I am currently trying my hand at meshing my very first bathtub.
The five different parts the EA mesh has is getting me totally confused.
How do I make sure that my curtain will still be able to open and close when the sims is using the bath? The curtain must be able to be recolored as well, but if I make it part of my uv map, the -2- which is the equivalent of the ea mesh gets added to the mesh -3-. Do I have to import that mesh again? I have separated my mesh to have as many parts as the original ea mesh (the bathtub with the shower and curtain)
Thank you in advance for the help.
