I think this isn't quite the same issue as the original post but are you saying that your showers are breaking through regular use or that they are breaking because of the ghosts? If it is because of ghosts then I do not believe the mod that was linked to will help at all as that only prevents breaking through normal use of the object. If an object can be broken or not is set in the object tuning, not the ObjectCatalog flags. I know this now because I have worked on an object I made unbreakable. The same tuning will also list all interactions that can be performed on it and the ghost's ability to haunt and break an object is its own seperate interaction. To stop ghosts from breaking your showers you would need to clone all of the tuning for showers and remove the Ghost_Haunt interaction from the Super Affordances list in the tuning. What if there's no interaction in super affordances that seems like it should make an object break?? Breakage tuning isn't in the Super Affordances section. That's where you find if ghosts can break the object. Regular breakage tuning should just be inside the Object Tuning. AFAIK only plumbing and electrical items can brake, as well as doll houses.

I know that this is an exceptionally old thread now but after having stumbled upon it again today, I gave setting the NoOpaque flag a go again and it worked for me now. I have no idea if anything changed between the original thread post and now but I can place the skylight on the ceiling of an enclosed room and light passes through it into the room below.

You want them all to appear as swatch options under one CAS item? You need to edit the PrototypeID found in the CASPart resource in the warehouse tab. You have to make sure it is the same for every swatch. There is no automated way to do this and it has to be done by hand for every swatch unfortunately.

Sadly, I can't use that method as my mesh only has one group. I've done a little more testing though and it seems that snow is preventing the glow when outside. If I test in a save with rain or clear skies it lights up outside fine but if there is snowfall then the light glow gets shut off. There's a sign from City Living that stays lit in snow but I'm having difficulty finding what controls it.

Sorry to revive this old thread but does anyone know how to get the lightmap to stay on all the time? When I place my object outside the glow turns off. I've already set LightmapAlwaysOn to 1.

I know for certain that the drop shadow texture of wall objects does not scale with the actual object. That's just a quirk of how the game handles the scaling. I assume it must be the same case for the actual shadow mesh as well.

Decimate removes vertices and faces from meshes. It doesn't touch the bones.

I think you would need to look at the Footprint. That controls where objects can be placed and if Sims and other objects can pass through them.

You should only need to edit the mesh if the actual 3D shape of the item is different. Sometimes details are just painted on to look 3D. It would be possible to give better advice if you were able to share a picture of the item you were wanting to edit.

One of the Catalog files identifies which pack the base object comes from and the CC based on it will require the pack to function even if it behaves exactly the same way as a BG item. If you want your item to be BGC you will need to clone a BG item which you can then import your new mesh and textures into.

annarelove would like to suggest the ability to edit CAS asset style tags in the Studio view, like it is possible to do with the decor styles for Objects.
