Hi, I just have a question on texture. In S4Studios under texture, there is diffuse, shadow, specular, normal, and emission. I have diffuse and normal down but what is shadow, specular, and emission? What are these three for and are they important in every mesh or can I go without using them?

Hi, thank you for responding so quickly. You were right. I tried it again it seems to have worked...I think. The skin looks better now, it's not affected anymore. I mean, it looks better but how do I know that it's working for sure? imgur.com/OCMnPL8

Hello! I need some help with making a bump map. I followed SYLD's tutorial but I think I must've missed something. My mesh (the shirt) looks really shiny and it also effects the skin. (Look at the shoulders). imgur.com/5UbrwKcThis is what my bump map looks like: imgur.com/4Km4LUn (It's saved as .png here so that I can show you but in my package it is .dds) I admit my bump map looks a little rough, not smooth like SYLD's even though I did blur it a bit. Here is my blend: simfileshare.net/download/287757/Here is my package: simfileshare.net/download/287760/Thank you for the help.

Ooooh okay, I didn't know you could put it in between the arms too. I will give it a try and see how it works out. Thank you!

imgur.com/a/gNQjPI deleted all the invisible faces on the body mesh, as much as I could. :( I don't know what else to do other than try to scale the important parts up and the least important down but I feel like that still might not be very effective. And I use photoshop CS6 to edit textures.

I'm sorry, I'm still confused. Could you elaborate more? (In reference to my image) If I scale up my UV, wouldn't it overlap the body's UV? Or can I put it somewhere else other than the inside of the body where I've cut?
Edit: Yes, I've already done those things. :( I've deleted what I could to make more room.

Thank you for replying so fast. How would I create a bigger UV map? Do you mean changing its size? I currently have it as 1024 x 2048. Or do you mean when I'm putting the UV's inside of the body UV (like ths >> imgur.com/23uT5q5 ) In that case, how would I make it bigger? I feel like it can't be helped because I can only put the uv inside the body, there's only a little room.

When I create new meshes, my baked textures are really small so it's hard to find pictures hd enough to overlay the baked texture. If I try to resize the picture, it loses its resolution because it's too small. I am tired of solid colors and would like to add floral prints and other pretty textures onto my meshes. Any tips or tricks to help with this?

imgur.com/a/KePWJI have this awkward clipping on the inner thigh of my sim. I've tried moving the mesh a little farther from the leg and also weight painting it at different levels (red, orange, yellow) and it seemed to help a bit. (It's way better than it was before) but it's still clipping especially when the sim spreads her legs and there are also a few pieces that attach to the other side of the leg. Someone help me please. I only know how to make solid colors for my clothing meshes but i'd like to try putting striped or floral patterns on my meshes. But it's hard since I need a really small size photo to overlay my baked textures. Any tips and tricks for making fancy designs on clothes?

When I try to view my cc, it's blank. And it crashes when I click on animations or Create a new mesh, etc. I have version 3.0.1.9 Harmony and I already tried uninstalling it and installing it again and still the same thing. imgur.com/LuLgtCMHelp!

Hi, thanks for replying. I'm confused about what to clone. My new mesh was from Marvelous Designer and it only has one group. Then I appended a nude top, I think that's all I have. Do I need to export another top from sims4studios?

Will the tutorial work for new meshes? And the mesh I made is actually pretty difficult because it's a long sleeve shirt with a tank top over it. I only wanted to make the long sleeve transparent and leave the tank top at full opacity. I don't know if it'll work for that?

I found a tutorial for how to make a skirt transparent but I'm trying to make a shirt transparent and it's hard to follow with the type of shirt I have. Are there other tutorials?
