Police badge as accessory
Hello folks! It's been quite a while since I created something. I made this for my detective sims. I loved the detective outfit on Get to Work, but let's face it: it's repetitive, and I wanted more variety for my detective sims. So I went and searched for cop badges. Surprisingly, only one person made one, and it was broken, it no longer responded to morphs (meaning it gets hidden on fat sims). So I went back, after +2 years, to make one for myself, from scratch.
After two days of banging my head against a wall, here it is. The police badge as an accessory.
It appears under accesories-> Rings. For men, you must look for this icon:
And for women, it's this:
There are some issues about the item: Most tops will clip with it and some clothing may use the place where the texture is, making some weird textures. Additionally, very fat sims also clip with it (woes of being located in the waist. It's a very difficult location for an accesory in this game).
Here's more info about the item:
► Standalone item with a new mesh ► Accessory (ring) ► Compatible with Basegame ► Available for male and female teens, young adults, adults and elders ► You can find it under accesory/ rings ► Enabled for occults (I tested it with a werewolf) ► Highest Poly count at LOD 0: Poly: 98 , vertex: 63
Credits:
► To the entire Sims 4 Studio Staff for doing this wonderful tool and their tutorials, without them I wouldn't able to complete it. ► EA for making the original badge mesh and the texture

Thank you so much!! I had to update all my CC CAS Traits (a very long process, but I pulled it off) and following that tutorial did the trick. It's nice to see my old CC traits working again.

Maybe it's the LOD1 (or 2?) mesh borking out? First time I ever see this.

AAAnd the results are here.Cloning the chino pants and appending my leatherchaps mesh did the trick, all I just had to do was to delete the groups from the chino pants, rename and carefully match the cut numbers on my mesh groups, just as you told me, and now I have a version of my leather chaps that is tucked inside the villain boots just as I wanted. Thank you inabadromance and mauvemorn ! Consider this solved.

thank you inabadromance and mauvemorn ! I've just found a base game mesh that behaves like that (the chino pants) and have the exact number of groups (4). I'll clone it and copy the cut numbers just as mauvemorn said. I'll post the results later in the night.

Hi, it's me with a weird question, again.
I was wondering if it's possible to make a bottom (let's say, jeans) to go under certain shoes like the military boots or villain's boots (the villain boots are from base game, the military ones are from Get to work). For example, there is a CC camo pants from Studio K that does this:
The first one is with the standard sport shoes, the second is with the military boots and the third is with the villain boots.
Is possible to do this with Sims 4 Studio? or blender? I know that Sortlayer (on warehouse tab) does not work, the pants have the same value.

Leather chaps ***Update 05/25/2019****
Updated the file to fix a minor visual bug on the original, and added a tucked in leather boots version. You cand it on CAS here:
And it looks like this:
You only need to drop the file (or replace the older one if you already downloaded it) on your mods folder and that's it.
***********************
Hi everyone! it's me, again, with an old project (it's older than my first shared project here) I'm sharing here. I have an old recolor of the jean base game mesh with the leather chaps texture on another site, but honestly, I hated it, so as soon as S4S got released I got on this project, to convert the leather chaps part on the base game biker outfit to a bottom. I was successful, but I forgot to upload it here so I'm correcting that mistake.
It's the biker outfit as a bottom part, and I included it's normal and specular files to give it the mos closely approach to the original (somehow the shadows didn't work out, they looked ugly so I had to eliminate them. Hopefully you still like it). It comes in the 3 colors that the original biker outfit has, as seen here:
You can find them on CAS by this icon:
I hope you like them, here is more info on the item:
► Standalone item with a new mesh and 3 colors. ► Clothing Bottom ► Compatible with Basegame ► Available for male teens, young adults, adults and elders ► You can find it under clothing/ Bottom . It's on everyday and party categories. ► Not enabled for randoms ► Highest Poly count at LOD 0: Poly: 1058 , vertex: 743

► To the entire Sims 4 Studio Staff for doing this wonderful tool and their tutorials, without them I wouldn't able to complete it. ► EA for making the original leather chaps mesh and the texture.

hair meshing must be one of the most complicated things to do on this game (the first one would be doing objects with animations/complex animations). I don't have the patience to tackle a project like that.

Leather armband as accessory
Hi people! This is a leather armband, as an accessory. At first, I planned it as part of my leather vest, but decided to make it an accessory to go along with any top/accessory combo you like.
Here are a few screenshots:
You can find it under accessories, with this thumbnail:
A word of caution: it uses the ring slot, so any ring will conflict with it, and any top with long sleeves (or any sleeve) will have clipping issues. But besides that, it's compatible with any base game sleeveless tops (and most CC sleeveless tops) and any other accessories (unless they put textures on crazy places lol).
More info on this item:
► Standalone item with a new mesh. ► Accessory ► Compatible with Basegame ► Available for male teens, young adults, adults and elders ► You can find it under accessories . It's on everyday and party categories. ► Not enabled for randoms ► Highest level poly count: 72 , vertex count: 102
Credits:
► To the entire Sims 4 Studio Staff for doing this wonderful tool and their tutorials, without them I wouldn't able to complete it. ► EA for making the mesh I cut and morphed to do the armband, and the leather texture too.

I've downloaded your .package but it gives me an error when I try to export it to blender on sims 4 studio. But I'll try to offer my advice: I did a similar project (a leather vest) and the best solution I got was to put the UV map directly on the top section (front and back), and the extra parts (if there are any) on the extra top section, as outlined on this post by untraditionalnerd . Now, unless other parts uses those sections (and it would be a bad design on their part, by the way) your jacket should not interfere with them.

Bare chested Leather Vest
And here is the second project I left unfinished, and is my most frustrating project. I started and re-started this project hundreds of times, every time to get annoyed with the results. At first I thought it would be easy, but the meshes are so different that combining them was a hell. So finally I was able to complete it this year.
It's the unbuttoned vest from the base game, combined with the nude top. And I had to alter the texture to add the leather fabric (the original is not a leather vest). There are 4 textures, the original with the leather vest, two of the leather vest with a T-shirt and a last one with the original maxis texture I worked on.
And the leather vest will appear on CAS with this icon:
Here is the info:
► Standalone item with a new mesh. ► Clothing Top ► Compatible with Basegame ► Available for male teens, young adults, adults and elders ► You can find it under clothing/ Tops . It's on everyday and party categories. ► Not enabled for randoms ► Highest level poly count: 3564 , vertex count: 2198
Credits:
► To the entire Sims 4 Studio Staff for doing this wonderful tool and their tutorials, without them I wouldn't able to complete it. ► EA for making the original two meshes and textures I combined.
CC I used on the sim:
► Hair: IronClad hair by xldsims ► Beard: Rough Stuff by xldsims ► Body Hair: Luumia ► Eyebrows: Scarface eyebrows by Wistful castle, TSR ► Beer bottle on the ground: Around the sims 4#leather #vest #leathervest #Top #everyday #male #clothing #metalfenix

Bare chested Leather Jacket
Hi folks! it's been a long time since I posted one creation, since what, 2015? After I finished my last upload, my vest with a rolled sleeve shirt, I actually finished another project, but I didn't upload it because I wasn't happy with the results.
So this 2019, I redid that old project from scratch (I even had re-learn how to franken mesh). This is a modification of the base game leather jacket. I hated the shirt that come with it, so I removed it and put it with the nude top torso. Altered the texture, normal and specular files to have the most accurate look to the maxis original. Here is the edited jacket, in the 4 original textures:
And I added 4 more recolors (they need the mesh of the bare chest version). I had to put them on a second .package since they needed a slightly modified normal from the original, so I couldn't put them as additional swatches on the bare chest version, sorry bout that. The recolors are these:
Just put the files on your mod folder and that's it. This the icon of the top:
Here is the info of the mesh:
► Standalone item with a new mesh + recolors. The .rar file includes both. ► Clothing Top ► Compatible with Basegame ► Available for male teens, young adults, adults and elders ► You can find it under clothing/ Tops . It's on everyday and party categories. ► Not enabled for randoms ► Highest level poly count: 3709 , vertex count: 2306 Credits: ► To the entire Sims 4 Studio Staff for doing this wonderful tool and their tutorials, without them I wouldn't able to complete it. ► EA for making the original two meshes and textures I combined.

I never made objects, but I suspect the principles are similar to the ones on CAS clothing (wich I have done). What you see when you zoom in, is LOD 0. Maybe you should open your LOD1 mesh (and LOD2 and 3), and check if the UV map is not very distorted? maybe it's the one causing this.

yeah, you could use a .png file instead of a .dds . I did this on photoshop CS6 and it worked fine on my last project.

Solved. Thanks to this post by brujah I finally understand what's going on. On the warehouse tab-> CAS part->Sort layer the number was 16000 . According to Brujah's post, it indicated untucked shirt, for a tucked shirt I only had to change it to 13000 (tucked shirt).
