You can use blender to bake a shadow map. Follow this tutorial for details. So .. your tutorial did not work! I'm in need of a tutorial that works for necklace-type accessories. Have you read from Pt.2 step 11: Your mesh does NOT include the sim body mesh, e.g. necklaces, acc clothing? I'm using an accessory coat as an example. But the process is exactly the same for necklace.

I don't think it's possible to prevent mesh export. Madlen's statement is their TOU. You're getting this error for another reason, which I'm not sure of. Try closing s4studio, reopening the package file and exporting again.

You mean seams at the ankles? It's perfectly normal that your mesh gets a little destroyed in lower lods. It won't matter because lower lods are used when you zoom out the camera in game real far away. You won't see much detail from that distance.

Is there an issue with Blender 2.76 and weight transfer? We switched to supporting 2.76 because of the numerous issues with 2.78 but I don't want to be recommending its use if it, too, is having problems transferring weight. Oh I didn't know that. Will try 2.76 out on my next project.

Yes you can.
I suggest downloading 2.70 as well just for weight transferring.

Removing the specular map should fix it. I can't find it in game somehow so I'm able to test it. Isn't it base game compatible?

Probably a specular map issue. Better upload the package file so we can take a look.

You need 3 meshes for hair: 2 of them appear bald because they are used when the sim is wearing a hat, and 1 will be without hat. You mesh only have 2. You need to make sure all 3 meshes have correct cut numbers which make sure s4studio recognizes your meshes when you import file. I suggest you clone an EA hair and copy the cut numbers to your meshes.

name the uv map of your skirt mesh 'uv_0' before joining with the body mesh. Otherwise uv map of the body mesh will lost.

Your uv is on top of the sim body while your mesh doesn't include the body. I assume you're making it as an accessory. You need to move your uv map to the lower right corner otherwise it's going to overwrite texture from other items. That's why in your first picture the texture of the armor went onto the body. Also your texture map isn't covering all the uv map. You'll need to fix that too.

There's no texture in your blender file. Please share the package file.
