Ive made high heel boots, that's achieved by lifting the foot up and rotating the the toes back down to the ground.
To make thicker soles you have to literally shorten the calf, and you can tell cos it looks funny, essential she has midget legs. Also those tsr shoes you can see the ankle seam (Its been photsshopped out and also thats why there is no in game screen shots), boots would not have that problem because it is hidden.

Hair meshes are extremely complicated and time consuming, you need to know your way around blend max or maya (or whatever it is you prefer). Its advanced modeling and unless you know what are doing in 3d software you are pushing the proverbial up hill from the get go. The only way you are ever gong to make a hair mesh, is get really really good at meshing, and then its still nigh on impossible without the patients of a saint and the artistic skills of Leonardo da Vinci.
There a are a lot of talented people on this forum, only one has ever made hair meshes, and I have no idea how or how long it took, but it is not easy and not something that can be explained in forum posts.

If you are using a bench or any item that does not use an alpha channel, you cannot just not simply add one in photoshop or whatever. It looks like it works but the mesh cant read it. There is a tut here that explains how to add one sims4studio.com/thread/1037/make-object-transparency-add-alphaBut I dunno how out of date it is now and Ive never done it, read it once but its to complicated for me. I usually try and find something already that has an alpha What did you use as a clone and what are you trying to achieve ?

I checked they can lol
Im wondering if its the geometry, technically rugs dont have any as they are just a plane, they are a weird mesh, they have this odd transparency about them too for some reason.

Dumb question, you can click on the rug and get the walk to interaction ?
I might have an answer though not a solution if so. (its just a guess)

ViVie. if you make the changes before adding swatches, they will copy over with the new swatch.

Sinks will only poke the hole in kitchen counters, if there is way to make other meshes behave n the same manner I wouldn't know. We have only obtained the ability to edit meshes of counters so I doubt anyone has looked into it. Ive made a couple of bathroom vanity's but what I did was mesh the vanity and physically put a hole in the top and placed a sink in it in 3ds max. Like this I kept the sink in the same position (I made that sink but I have made another just using the default sink) and made the vanity and cut a hole in top of it, and imported into s4s, basically the whole thing is a sink with slots added.

I will graciously bow out danielsim, I know nothing about conversions as I have never done one, someone else will see this thread.
