Sims 4 Studio developers didn't plan on updating anything created by Cmar. I approached Andrew asking if he can update Sims Ripper. As far as I know it was a one-time deal. Handling all community tools if way too much. But I will let developers to speak for themselves.

I have a question/suggestion. Is it possible to add an option to duplicate all custom thumbnails for another gender to avoid importing them one by one? It would be really helpful if it was possible.

It looks like a toddler template would work. You can apply it in Blender and see if the seams match. I haven't had the chance to check the template.

Download the newest version of Studio which is 3.2.0.6. This issue should be fixed. Renaming the file has never helped fixing it.

Move them in the pose mode and do not forget to loc rot the bones again after moving.

What kind of rig do you use? Is it exported from Studio or IK from another creator?

Most likely you moved the entire rig. When you want to reposition a sim you need to move the rig by b__ROOT_bind__ bone. If you use existing IK rigs (like the one from Kijiko) they have specific rules about how to use them. You need to read the instructions to these rigs or ask original creators how to use rigs.

Hi, I did this but when i choose an EA clip for child, no children EA clips appear as well as all the other rigs. Only Male and Female adult EA clips appear. How can i get child EA clips? Animation -> Clip Pack. On the tab Clips you can choose a needed rig. All of lifestates are present in the drop-down menu.

When I open it, it seems like a normal startup but then the 'game patch' window opens up and seems like it's attempting to update the game (or so the wording implies to me) and I quickly X out of it to avoid any changes, but it also results in the entire program closing. Perhaps it could be the possibly now outdated version I have (v3.1.6.3 Wishes) and a newer one won't do that? I only started having the issue when EA tried forcing the switch from Origin (not doing that yet either, reasons) and messed up the game (saying it's not installed, all packs missing, etc.), but even after managing to fix all that, the problem with S4S persists without a clear way to stop it from doing that Edit: Tried the newest open beta version, it does the same thing unfortunately Studio never updates the game. It is trying to read missing files. Newer Studio can read older patches as far as I know.

Not sure if it helps with your issue but you need to split edges. It affects the way mesh looks in the game. Can't tell whether it will affect the shine but it for sure will improve shading.

If you exported LODS and they are the same size as the infant it means that you exported toddler mesh. Infants are smaller.You need to make sure that your cloned hair is tagged for infants, press "apply to all swatches" and then export all meshes. They absolutely have to be adjusted for infant size.

You can do it for CAS items for sure. I often create 2 specular maps. My steps are:
1. On the Warehouse tab duplicate the existing specular file and give it a new instance. 2. I generate instances in the hash generator (Tools -> Hash generator) 3. Import a new specular map in that newly created resource so you will know that it's a different specular. 4. Paste that instance number in every CAS part that corresponds with swatches that you created a separate specular map. Just search by the word "specular" on the Warehouse tab in CAS Part and paste a new instance number.

Thank you for this! It's been a few years now but I remember getting yelled at by someone on here for suggesting this as a solution to someone else's makeup cc issue, according to them the SortLayer "does nothing" I wish I'd have linked this in response, oh well. Super useful information, very handy to come back to when creating! Depends on the case. There could be a composition method issue not CAS sort layer and that person could be correct.
