It looks like that because you have replaced the EA texture. I found this tutorial on Simscommunity and it looks pretty good.If you want to only change the colors and not create a whole new texture, you want to edit the base texture (make it a nice grey), apply the color on a new layer and then fiddle around with the blend mode.

Hello everyone! Very sorry for not answering so quickly, i suppose you don't live in sweden. To begin i wanted to thank inabadromance for answering so quickly, sorry i was asleep by then lol and thanks femmejean for answering as well. And correct, the black blobs are just hiding the dress as i just want to keep it private until it's out and about. I took your advice femmejean, i removed majority of the shadow and normal and it vanished, thank you so much for your help guys! I am in Sweden actually. If you ever need help feel free to message me and I can explain to you in Swedish (if you meant that you are swede)

I'm assuming the black blobs isn't the actual dress? But the "seams" on the arms can be fixed by editing the "shadow texture". I think it might be called RLE2.

If you don't want transparency, edit the alpha. Might need changing in the workhouse too, I'm not sure, I've never actually worked with transparent clothing before.

Your mesh contains both frame and mattress. As you haven't shared the files I can only assume that you have separate textures/images for the frame and mattress. In EA beds they will share the same image. This is also only a suggestion on my part (I apologize if it's not wanted) but it's much easier to unwrap the UV map and get good textures if you mark seams

Take a look in the tutorials section, there are a great many good threads. If you want to make clothing, the easiest way would be to learn frankenmeshing and get to know the tools and the programs you are using. It's very hard to teach someone from scratch, especially when it comes to meshing.

Hijacking the thread... I'm curious as well. I've had this happen all too many times. The textures have always had the correct size and no original textures left in the package (sometimes the objects actually grabbed a texture from a nearby object) and only in laptop mode. It's odd.

You need a uv_1 map and proper weight paint, if you haven't already. If you share the package and blend file I'm sure someone could take a look for you.

Can you show a picture? Most likely the mesh isn't included. I'm guessing.

Select "Create 3D mesh" in the object section, rather than standalone recolor (or what it is you use). That will let you export the mesh and edit it as you see fit.

You need to add/edit the cut number. If the original mesh has a number of 0001 or whatever, that is what you give the new object, and then delete the original (or simply remove the number, and s4s won't recognize it).

For objects, use maxis/ea wood texture and low poly meshes. For clothing, edit ea textures or make new ones... no photoskinning.
