Here is the file. This is the only way I know how to do a dress with strappy sleeves so the sim doesn't look invisible underneath the clothes. do you have a tutorial on here for this? link

Can someone tell me why this dress clips into the couch? Not sure how to fix it or if that's normal for the way I made it. I duplicated the dress and flipped normals.

I am following this old tutorial here sims4studio.com/thread/9464/tutorial-correctly-make-lodsIs this still the right way to do it? I kept getting the splits on the leg part when I split my mesh into the same number of mesh groups in the LOD that I'm creating. If I join my mesh with the example mesh like in instructed above(old tutorial) the size is huge and the LOD's look like the ref mesh Did I read something wrong? Is there an up-to-date tutorial on making LOD's when the ref mesh has multiple mesh groups?

Blender 2.70 is the only one that shows the S4studio cas tools part. Is that because I have that selected as the default version in s4studio?

I split the edges and it still looks like that. Making short dresses is hard. I did all steps except weight paint and vertex paint in blender 2.79. When I transferred the uv_1 I combined all the example mesh which has 3 mesh groups. I switched to Blender 2.70 and I cut up my mesh to match the three mesh groups in the example mesh, then I changed the GEOM of my mesh to match the example mesh parts. I combined the individual 3 parts of each mesh together into one. I deleted all vertex groups from my mesh then did weight paint and vertex paint. Which part of that did I get wrong? Thanks

Thanks soo much, I didn't change the LOD'S yet. Good thing I checked here first, I was about to redo the whole thing with a new example mesh

No, in your case you can just transfer the weights from the last meshgroup ( the one that contains the dress) to your dress. In other situations, you just join all parts of the reference into one, transfer the data from it, delete, when done, just append it in the scene again and split yours the same ( or you can open it in a different window )Sorry you confused me with the part in red. Do you guys have a buy me a coffee button? I want to contribute. Thanks

In that case when I do weight paint I have to transfer the weights to each part of the REF mesh to the corresponding part of my mesh?

I think this error happened while weight painting. The REF mesh I selected has 4 mesh groups. When I transfer weights do I join all the mesh groups into 1?
Thanks

I was able to make one attempt and it's definitely better, the poly count is lower also. But now I have an extra leg. I think maybe I need to delete the nude mesh before I start doing the last part. Anyho I will update once I get it right but here is a pic of what I have now.

I didn't want my other question thread to be too long so I have another question. Again been trying different techniques, I tried to smooth in blender 2.7 and applied subdivision surface modifier but none of those worked. This is my first time making anything short. I try not to come here asking for help too often because I know you guys are busy.
