katarinamartian it should be BC3 compression. When you choose it you will see a description below that it's the same as DXT5 compression, this is what we need.

Create 1024x1024 file, fill it in with hex color 8080ff ( R: 128 G: 128 B: 255), and then follow instructions about copy-pasting channges from this part of the thread.

hephaestion if it works on your computer it means that they didn't download the file till the end and it got corrupted. Redownloading solves this problem, but most users never try it.

We can't help with pirated versions. Anyway, your path is incorrect. Read my comment above again.

Provide correct path to your game files. By default it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4. If you don't see any game content it means that path is incorrect and Studio doesn't see the files.

Hi. You need to export animation from "Clip pack" file, not from "Override" .package. You can import edited animation in "Override" .package, but not export from it.

Hi Feyona. If the developers focused their efforts on functionality, or user friendliness, then sims4studio should have supported FBX and OBJ files instead of only blender. All games that allow for modding and custom content is fbx and obj orientated. Planet coaster is such a game. cities skylines too. FBX and OBJ files work universally across all platforms, but sims4studio doesnt Let's start with the fact that Studio is developed in a free time by 2 adults who have full-time job and life. They are not obligated to do this in general, and are not obligated to follow anyone's demands. . Also your view point is flawed given that blender has been updated to improve its functionality. Its sims4studio that is outdated, and becoming incompatible, even with its native preference of blender. also i have no doubt that alot of people who engage with CC and modding in games, work on different projects, not just sims4, and may prefer or require to keep their 3d software updated. i wouldnt wish to find out that by updating blender or 3dsmax, for improved performance and functionality, only to realize that i can no longer mod a particular game due to incompatibility between versions. in that scenario you may have to install 2 versions of the same 3d program, but thats a hassle. So for you having 2 versions of the program is a hassle, but for developers it is not a hassle to code a tool that will work on all possible versions of Windows with all possible combinations of Blender? If it is not updated for the latest version of Blender there is a reason behind it. Thousands of users work in Blender with no problems, hundreds work with blender and 3DS max and Studio with no problems and no demands.

I don't see any issues with Mauvemorn's reply. Blender is a free and very advanced software. Moreover, there can be installed 2 versions of Blender on computer, and you are not obligated to use an old version, users need compatible version for Studio to be able to export game files. Second, Studio was created for all people who want to create CC, not only for those who can afford buying 3DS max, who pirated it or who is a "student". I worked in 3DS Max, and I switched to Blender with no issues, and I keep 5 versions of Blender on my computers. If you want to create CC you will find a way to work with the tools that are provided including tons of tutorials on the forum and tons of tutorials on youtube.

Latest version of Blender doesn't work with ancient versions of Windows. TS4 is still supported to be run on ancient versions of Windows, therefore it would be a constant waste of time adapting Studio for all possible versions of Windows including XP and Blenders. For this reason developers of the program focused their efforts on functionality.

There is no way to delete pack requirement with Studio and it will never be added to Studio since deleting pack requirement is a piracy. And questions about this are not allowed on S4S forum.

There is no way to scale the rig. The only thing you can use that might work is a heel slider that moves the rig up.

You need to bring this question to Blender forums. There is much bigger chance that people will know what's going on. Creator help section is for question about working in Sims 4 Studio. But my wild guess is that something is going on with drivers.

There is no official plugin for Mac as far as I know. Google has a few options, for instance. Use at your own risk.
