Since when is creepy to register in a website? I think I'm missing something here, but as fas as the internet goes, you are asked to be registered in almost anything. You wouldn't even have Sims 4 if you didn't register in Origin. We wouldn't have support of the game beside the EA forums, that guess what, also registry. The same goes for phones of any kind. Android, Apple, etc. If I'd choose to be afraid of my public image to go online, I'd start worring with those rather than with a harmless website about a program to create content for Sims 4! Nobody ask for someone to participate in this forum, if you are worried, unsecured about it, don't do it. Are you afraid of completing a form with your "important personal information"? As far as it goes, you can create a false profile as you'd do in any other web. You can create a false e-mail if you are that paranoid... but come on guys..
The registry is required because feedback from the community is needed. Either for the report of bugs in the program and for creator's personal help. This forums have helped a wide amount of people, asking no more than a registration as return. Why is that? Because organization is needed. They used to have a register free report of bugs, but trolls and spam just kept coming, and if anyone can post at any given time there's no way to stop this. Even with registration, there are some people who have invested their time in creating profiles just to troll this community. To identify yourself in any given area of your life is always needed, this is simply how is done. I can't imagine a web just full of anonymous random people, who feel really brave to tell any insults behind that anonymous veil.
Also, registration makes the invite for people to join the community, to share their creations, their problems, to let them know that they can be identified in here, they are not just a random person that come asking to recieve no respond. There also the system of badges where you can get rewards upon this path. Of course this is all for the people that wants to participate. Again, you are not obligated to do so...

Can you post the .package and .blend file?. There are not many people here in the forum that knows the art of hair meshing. So, if you don't get a quick answer, don't feel frustrated or ignored, it's simply many don't know.

yeah that's the one I downloaded but it ruined my UI. I think it's the new update of s4studio, so i'm gonna go back to 1.10 and see if that fixes it You might have a outdated version of the Wrench icon hider. Try updating it for the new patch. Om and Andrew already realeased that update

kieron88j I'm glad you decided to start modding. What you can do, and I found it really helpful when I started here. Look into the FULL INDEX of tutorials HERE. You will find there almost every tutorial in the forum categorized by CAS, Objects, Poses, etc. And also by level of difficulty. You can start with the beginners guides to get your hands into it. Over time, you can jump into the more advanced ones. It is a long process and you can't learn it by one day. But I'm sure you can do it. jerrycnh Welcome to the forum and to the modding path! Can you give more details of the "pretty blue drawing" you get when pressing those buttons? Also, What do you want to accomplish that you guess the tool doesn't do? What I recommend you to do as Kieron is starting with the INDEX and inside of that with the beginners tutorials. If you have any questions along the road you can ask in the forum, either in the tutorial thread or opening a Creators Help thread for a specific project you are working on. Also, Studio doesn't have Blender integrated on it. You need to download it separately. Studio uses Blender for the import and export of meshes into the .package. Remember being the most detailed as possible is the best way for us to help you. If we can't understand what is happening on your PC we can't help you. Good luck both!

I'm sorry but I still don't follow the problem.. It might be my fault, but I'm not seeing in any place that you shared the problematic .package or .blend file. If it was in the first post, the link doesn't work.
The only .package you posted is working perfectly with the ONLY swatch that it has. So, where is the first picture problematic mesh? You cloned the green plate as a base to replace with another mesh? Why don't you clone a EA decorative item instead?

The first picture looks like a uv map problem to me. It is like the uv has been moved and the textures doesn't match. Either for the shadow plane and with the plate itself. But I don't see this issue in Studio so I don't know how did you come across this issue.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you be more specific on the problem you're dealing with? I just opened the .package you posted here and I see the textures of the plate working just fine. I don't see it like the first picture. Althought the textures are completely diferent from those. I see this

Okay - I am an idiot -- I figured out what I was doing wrong. Instead of trying to find the alpha file, I should have been looking at the way I was saving the file. It was set to save an object as DXT5 in Nvidia, when I should have been saving as a DXT1. Duh :-/ Thanks guys for your help -- it is very much appreciated. I'm not sure how that fixed your issue. DXT5 is the option that actually includes the alpha in the .dds file. (Interpolated Alpha) The DXT1 is "No alpha" which won't import it to the texture.

Studio is not meant to support astronomical poly count. Neither is the game, I think this is the reason among others (like your processor or the ram you have) that this could take long to load. It will also freeze the game and give lag to the people that use them. It is not recommended at all. I usually bypass the EA recommended polycount a little for special object that needed more detail. But going over 10K is just crazy. Ofcourse it is my opinion, and you're welcome to disagree with me. It's just a warning in case you didn't know about the consequenses that this could lead.

They came out great! It makes me remember a lot of the HP games. I've played them since the beggining. Some models look familiar.
